Getting started
What is Evaligned?
Evaligned is a whole-life alignment platform that helps you understand where your life is out of balance — and gives you a structured, personalised path back. It combines a validated assessment across six life dimensions, AI-guided daily practices, and access to qualified human practitioners.
Who is Evaligned for?
Evaligned is for adults who sense that something is off — even if they can't always name it. It's especially useful for people navigating burnout, career change, relationship shifts, or the quieter experience of life feeling flat or without direction. You don't need to be in crisis to benefit. Most members describe themselves as high-functioning but running on empty.
How is this different from therapy or coaching?
Evaligned is not therapy, and it doesn't replace clinical mental health care. The difference is structure and scale: therapy is unstructured conversation led by a trained professional; coaching is goal-focused guidance. Evaligned sits between — it's a self-directed programme with daily structure, evidence-based practices, and optional practitioner support. Think of it as a well-designed system for people who want more than a wellness app but don't need clinical intervention.
Do I need to create an account to get started?
No. You can take the full assessment and receive your Life Alignment Score without creating an account. An account is required if you want to save your results, access your personalised dashboard, or enrol in a pathway programme. Creating one is free.
Is Evaligned available in Australia only?
The platform is available globally. The founding team is based in Australia, and some practitioner availability is currently Australia-focused, but the programmes, library, and AI guidance are available to anyone, anywhere.
Can I connect a wearable device?
Yes. Premium members can connect Oura, Whoop, Fitbit, Garmin, Polar, or Withings via a secure web connection (no separate app needed). Your sleep, HRV, activity, and recovery data are cross-referenced with your check-in scores to surface body-mind correlations — for example, how your sleep patterns affect your mental clarity two days later. The AI Coach weaves this physiological data into its coaching naturally.
The assessment
How long does the assessment take?
There are two options. The Quick Scan is 25 questions and takes around 7 minutes. The Deep Assessment is 38 questions and takes around 12 minutes. Both use validated psychological scales (including reverse-scored items to ensure accuracy) and deliver a full six-dimension result — the deeper version simply produces a more precise report.
What does the assessment measure?
It measures your current state across six dimensions of whole-life alignment: Purpose & Direction, Mental Clarity, Emotional Balance, Relationships & Support, Energy & Health, and Inner Life & Meaning. Each dimension is scored 0–100, and an overall Life Alignment Score is calculated from the combined results.
Is the assessment scientifically based?
Yes. The questions and dimensions are grounded in established psychological frameworks — including self-determination theory, research on psychological wellbeing (Ryff), positive psychology (Seligman), and the empirical literature on meaning in life (Steger). The assessment is not a clinical diagnostic tool, but it is built on evidence rather than intuition.
Can I take the assessment more than once?
Yes. The system recommends a reassessment approximately every 90 days (or after 12 weekly check-ins), giving you enough time for meaningful change to show. When you retake, the AI generates a detailed comparison report — showing side-by-side score changes, your biggest shift, and any archetype change. Your full history is saved and displayed as a trend chart on your dashboard.
What happens after I complete the assessment?
You receive your Life Alignment Score and a breakdown across all six dimensions, along with an AI-generated summary of your pattern and a recommended pathway. You can save your results, access your full dashboard, and begin your first daily practice immediately — all without a paid plan.
How the system adapts to you
Is this the same programme for everyone?
No — and this is one of the most important things to understand about Evaligned. The system is not a fixed programme that every user follows the same way. It reads your specific data — your scores, patterns, check-in trends, journal themes, and coaching interactions — and adapts what it delivers based on what you personally need. The content you see on your dashboard, the timing of nudges, the depth of coaching, even the order your cards appear — all of this adjusts to your current state. No two users experience the same programme.
How does it know what I need right now?
Every time you interact with the system, it evaluates your current state across five independent axes: vulnerability (risk of decline), opportunity (conditions for growth), receptivity (likelihood to engage), engagement velocity (how your activity is changing), and intervention saturation (whether you have received too much or too little recently). These five readings combine to determine what you need — emotional support, skill building, celebration, re-engagement, or simply being left alone for a while. In plain terms: when you are struggling, the system leans in with warmth and support. When you are thriving, it steps back and lets you build momentum. When you are being overwhelmed with too many inputs, it dials everything down.
Why does the programme get better over time?
The system cannot learn your personal patterns from a single data point. After your first few check-ins, it starts with population-level assumptions. But after six check-ins, it begins calculating your personal standard deviation for each dimension — meaning every threshold, nudge, and trend detection is calibrated to your individual patterns, not generic numbers. By month three, the system has learned your cascade patterns (which dimensions pull others down), your personal triggers, your blind spots, and what types of practices actually correlate with your score improvements. What you experience at week twelve is fundamentally different from week one — because the system has learned you.
How do I know my score actually changed — and it is not just noise?
All score changes on your dashboard are tested against the Reliable Change Index (Jacobson & Truax, 1991) — a clinical standard used in psychotherapy research to separate genuine improvement from normal measurement fluctuation. Non-significant changes are displayed in grey with a note that they fall within normal variation. When a change is highlighted in colour, it means it passed a statistical test for meaningful change. Additionally, every twelve weeks the system invites you to complete the WHO-5 Well-Being Index — an independently validated measure of general psychological wellbeing — as an external anchor to confirm that your internal improvements are genuine.
What is predictive cascade detection?
Most of life's problems do not appear suddenly — they cascade. A drop in Energy tends to drag down Mental Clarity a few days later. Emotional dysregulation erodes Relationships over time. The system learns your personal cascade patterns from your check-in history. When it detects that a trigger dimension is declining, it warns you before the downstream effects begin — and adjusts your coaching focus to the intervention point that prevents the most damage. This is not a generic alert; it is specific to how your dimensions have historically moved together.
Pathways & programmes
What is a pathway?
A pathway is a structured, day-by-day programme of practices built around a specific life situation or dimension. Each day includes a morning intention, a named practice with step-by-step instructions, an evidence-based explanation of why it works, a micro-action fallback for low-energy days, and a reflection prompt. Pathways come in three tiers: 7-day Sparks, 30-day Foundations, and 90-day Transformations.
How is my pathway personalised?
Your assessment results determine which pathway is recommended. The system considers your lowest-scoring dimensions, your overall score, any life event you have identified, pattern signals from your weekly check-ins, and your psychological readiness level. The recommendation updates over time as your scores change. Within each pathway, every day starts with a 2-minute micro-action as a low-barrier entry point, with the full practice available when you are ready. In longer pathways (60+ days), the system progressively reduces scaffolding — early days provide full structure, middle days build supported autonomy, and later days encourage you to design your own approach. The final week includes relapse prevention planning based on clinical maintenance research.
What pathways are available?
There are twenty pathway topics — each available in up to three depths: a 7-day Spark (test the fit), a 30-day Foundation (build real change), and a 90-day Transformation (deep, lasting shift). Situation-specific topics include Burnout Recovery, Career Transition, New Parenthood, Relationship Breakdown, Returning to Self, High Performer Plateau, Inner Life, Inner Life Deep, Grief to Growth, Boundaries & Self-Worth, Connection & Belonging, Nervous System & Anxiety, Environment Design, Financial Stress, Chronic Illness, Faith Transition, and Professional Identity. Three general programmes — Stabilise, Momentum, and Full Alignment — are also available based on your overall score. Your assessment recommends the right topic and starting tier for you.
What if I miss a day?
You simply pick up where you left off. There are no penalties or resets. When you return after a gap, the system greets you with warmth — not declining stats — and offers a gentle 2-minute micro-action to help you re-engage without pressure. The practices are designed to be done in sequence, but life happens — consistency over time matters more than perfection. The programme doesn't expire.
Can I switch pathways?
Yes. You can start a new pathway at any time from your dashboard. If your circumstances change significantly — a new life event, a major shift in scores — it makes sense to reassess and move to a more relevant programme rather than continuing one that no longer fits.
The six dimensions
What are the six dimensions?
- Purpose & Direction — whether your daily actions connect to what genuinely matters to you
- Mental Clarity — your capacity to focus, decide, and direct your attention
- Emotional Balance — your ability to recover from stress and stay grounded
- Relationships & Support — the quality of connection and support in your life
- Energy & Health — whether your body and lifestyle support the life you're trying to build
- Inner Life & Meaning (depth, connection, transcendence) — your felt sense of connection to something larger than daily function
These dimensions group into three clusters — Foundation (Energy + Emotional Balance), Connective (Clarity + Relationships), and Expression (Purpose + Inner Life) — which help identify which layer of your life needs attention first. The assessment also captures life context factors like financial pressure and life transitions that inform your personalised guidance without being scored as dimensions.
What is Inner Life & Meaning?
Inner Life & Meaning — the sixth dimension — captures your felt sense of depth, connection to something larger than daily function, and experience of meaning beyond achievement. This includes moments of awe, stillness, gratitude, inner peace, and the sense that your life has significance beyond tasks and goals. Whether you frame this through spiritual practice, philosophical reflection, nature connection, or simply paying attention to what moves you — this dimension measures the depth of your inner experience. It is distinct from Purpose (which measures direction and momentum) and Emotional Balance (which measures regulation and recovery).
Why is Inner Life & Meaning included as a dimension?
Research consistently shows that people can score well on purpose, clarity, relationships, and energy — and still feel hollow. The empirical literature on meaning in life (Frankl, Steger, Kaufman) identifies self-transcendence and felt depth as independent contributors to wellbeing that aren't captured by other frameworks. Leaving it out would have meant leaving out a real and common source of disconnection.
Are the dimensions equally weighted in the overall score?
Yes. Each dimension contributes equally to your Life Alignment Score. The overall score is the average of all six dimension scores. This is deliberate — no dimension is treated as more important than another, because the system is fundamentally about whole-life alignment rather than optimising one area at the expense of others.
Why does the assessment ask about financial pressure and life transitions?
These are contextual factors — they are not scored as dimensions, but they significantly affect your experience. Financial stress, for example, is one of the strongest predictors of overall wellbeing, and someone navigating a major life transition will have very different needs than someone in a stable period. By capturing these factors, the system can personalise its guidance more accurately — acknowledging what is affecting you rather than treating every pattern as purely psychological.

Privacy & data
Is my assessment data private?
Yes. Your scores, reflections, and check-in data are private to your account. They are not shared with third parties, sold, or used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Who can see my scores?
Only you — and any practitioner you explicitly choose to share access with. Practitioners can only see what you grant them access to. No one at Evaligned views individual user data except where required to resolve a technical issue, with your permission.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can request full deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through your Account settings or by contacting us directly. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Does Evaligned use AI? How does it work?
Yes. AI is central to how Evaligned works. It scores your assessment, detects patterns across your check-in data, generates personalised insights and recommendations, powers the AI Coach (Premium), writes your monthly narrative letter, moderates community content, and analyses journal entries for dimension patterns. All AI outputs are used solely to personalise your experience — never to profile, advertise to, or target you. The AI operates across three model tiers depending on the task, with built-in safety protocols and fallback chains.
Working with practitioners
What is a practitioner at Evaligned?
Practitioners are qualified professionals — including integrative therapists, life coaches, nutritionists, somatic practitioners, and mindfulness teachers — who work within the Evaligned framework. They understand the six dimensions and can provide personalised support where the programme alone isn't enough.
How do I find and work with a practitioner?
Your dashboard surfaces a practitioner match based on your lowest dimension scores and pattern. You can view their profile, areas of speciality, and session format before booking. Sessions are arranged directly through the platform. Visit the Practitioners page to browse the current directory.
Are practitioners vetted?
Yes. All practitioners listed on Evaligned have been reviewed for relevant qualifications, professional registration (where applicable), and alignment with the Evaligned approach. They are not employees of Evaligned — they are independent professionals who have been accepted into the directory.
Can I use Evaligned alongside my existing therapist or doctor?
Yes, and we encourage it. Evaligned is designed to complement professional care, not replace it. If you are currently working with a therapist, GP, or specialist, the practices and reflections from the programme can be useful material to bring to those sessions. If you are unsure whether the programme is appropriate for your situation, please consult your healthcare provider first.
Community & feedback
How do I suggest a feature or report a bug?
There are several ways. The quickest is the Community hub — the Member Voice tab lets you submit feature ideas and vote on what others have proposed. You can also email us directly at hello@evaligned.com for bug reports, feedback, or anything that doesn't fit a feature request. We read every message and respond within one business day.
What is the Community hub?
The Community hub is where members connect anonymously. It has six sections: the Wins Wall (share small victories), Breakthroughs (longer growth stories with before/after scores), Pattern Threads (stories grouped by archetype), Pattern Peers (anonymous peer matching with people who share your pattern), Member Voice (feature requests and voting), and Accountability (shared weekly commitments with follow-through tracking). All submissions are AI-moderated for safety and privacy.
Can I shape what gets built?
Yes — and we encourage it. The Member Voice section of the Community hub lets you submit ideas and vote on others. We track every suggestion and ship features directly from member input. You can also follow Founder Updates to see what's being built and why.
AI Coaching
Why is the Evaligned AI Coach different from using ChatGPT or another general AI?
General AI tools are designed to answer any question on any topic. The Evaligned AI Coach is purpose-built for one thing: helping you improve your life alignment. It has access to your real dimension scores, your archetype, your weekly trends, your journal patterns, and your pathway progress. It uses established coaching frameworks (Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Coaching, Solutions-Focused techniques) rather than freestyle conversation. It knows your history, learns what works specifically for you, and adapts its approach as your engagement deepens. A general AI starts from zero every conversation. Your Evaligned coach builds on everything that came before.
Can the AI Coach diagnose mental health conditions?
No. The Evaligned AI Coach is a wellbeing and alignment coaching tool, not a clinical service. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment, or replace professional mental health care. It helps you explore your values, identify patterns, set goals, and take action within six validated life dimensions. If the AI detects signs that professional support may be warranted, it will recommend speaking with a qualified practitioner or GP — and in situations of immediate concern, it provides crisis resources directly.
How does the AI know what coaching approach to use with me?
The AI adapts on multiple levels. First, it tracks your coaching stage — from initial orientation through to self-coaching capability. New users receive gentle, exploratory guidance. As engagement deepens, the AI progressively introduces more sophisticated techniques: connecting dimensions, challenging assumptions, and building self-direction. Second, it assesses your psychological readiness using a model based on the Transtheoretical Model of change — it will not push you toward action if you are still in a contemplation phase, even if your engagement metrics suggest readiness. Third, it adjusts its density based on what you need: more depth when you are struggling, lighter touch when you are steady, and almost silent when you are being over-contacted. If the coach misreads you — which can happen — it is trained with explicit repair moves: humble inquiry, course correction, and acknowledging when it got something wrong.
What safety measures are built into the AI Coach?
Safety is one of the most deeply engineered parts of the system. Every interaction passes through a three-tier safety protocol with over 50 detection patterns across 11 clinical categories — including crisis signals, domestic violence indicators, disordered eating patterns, dissociation, and trauma responses. Level 1 is normal coaching. Level 2 occurs when accumulated signals suggest professional support would be beneficial — the AI continues coaching but recommends speaking with a counsellor or GP. Level 3 activates when immediate concern is detected — the AI pauses coaching and provides crisis resources with country-specific helplines (Australia, UK, US). The system also includes validated clinical micro-screeners (PHQ-2 for depression, C-SSRS for suicidality) administered conversationally at appropriate moments with a 30-day cooldown. Concern scores decay over time as signals resolve, so past difficulties do not permanently affect your coaching experience. These protocols run continuously across all AI touchpoints: companion chat, journal analysis, and check-in processing.
Is the AI Coach a replacement for human coaching or therapy?
No. AI coaching is effective for structured self-exploration, pattern recognition, accountability, and habit formation — and it excels at availability, consistency, and data-driven observation. But it cannot replace the depth of a skilled human coach or therapist, particularly for complex personal issues, trauma, or clinical conditions. Evaligned offers human practitioner support for users who need deeper guidance. The AI and human layers are designed to complement each other, with the AI providing daily support and the practitioner providing periodic deeper work.
Will the AI try to keep me using it more?
The opposite. The AI is designed to build your self-coaching capability — its success metric is you needing it less over time. It actively monitors for dependency patterns and, when detected, redirects you toward your own judgement and human relationships. It will never encourage excessive use or attempt to replace genuine human connection.
Is my data safe? Who can see my coaching conversations?
Your coaching conversations are stored securely in your account so you can return to previous threads and pick up where you left off. A coaching profile tracks themes, values, and what works for you across sessions — this is what allows the AI to improve over time. AI interactions are logged for quality and safety monitoring but are never shared with third parties. Your coaching data is visible only to you. If you engage a human practitioner through the platform, a summary can be shared with your explicit consent to provide continuity of care.
What coaching frameworks does the AI use?
The AI Coach integrates three evidence-based frameworks: Acceptance & Commitment Coaching (ACC) for values clarification and committed action, Motivational Interviewing (MI) using the OARS method (open questions, affirmations, reflections, summaries), and Solutions-Focused Coaching for scaling questions and exception-finding. These are the same frameworks used by professional human coaches, adapted for AI delivery and validated by research showing that MI-based AI coaching increases readiness to change.
How is this different from AI therapy apps like Woebot or Wysa?
Those apps focus on mental health symptom management using CBT-based exercises. Evaligned is a life alignment coaching platform — it works across six dimensions of life (purpose, clarity, emotional balance, relationships, energy, and inner life) rather than treating specific symptoms. The AI Coach helps you understand and improve your overall life balance, not manage a clinical condition. If clinical support is needed, the system detects this and refers appropriately.
